Before Reinstalling Oil Change


If you are planning to reinstall Oil Change, you should also delete the files from your Windows Temp folder.

To delete files from the Windows Temp folder

  1. Open Windows Explorer, navigate to the Windows folder and double-click the folder to open it.
  2. Double-click the Temp folder.
    The contents of this folder will be displayed in the right pane of Windows Explorer.
  3. Click Edit and select Select All.
    All the items in the Temp folder should be highlighted to indicate that they have been selected.
  4. Click File and select Delete.

To make sure that you have a successful installation, you should turn off all the programs that are in your computer’s memory before reinstalling Oil Change.

To turn off memory resident programs

  1. On the Windows desktop, press CTRL+ALT+DELETE.
  2. In the Close Program dialog box, select a program and click End Task.
  3. Repeat this procedure for every item in the Close Program dialog box except Explorer.
  4. Click Cancel.
    When you reboot your computer after reinstalling Oil Change, Windows 95 loads these programs into memory again.

When you reinstall Oil Change, you should download the latest version from the CyberMedia Web site.

To download the latest version of the Oil Change program

  1. Open Windows Explorer and create a new, empty folder on your computer’s hard drive.
  2. Connect to the Internet and go to www.cybermedia.com/ocupdate.
  3. Download ocsetup.exe to the new folder that you just created.
  4. Disconnect from the Internet.
