The CyberMedia ActiveHelp server contains a constantly monitored and revised database that resides on the Internet. Each time you use Oil Change, it logs onto the server and checks for information about:

CyberMedia adds information to the ActiveHelp database on an ongoing basis, thus relieving you of the chore of scouring computer-related Web sites for possible software updates. Oil Change even checks for updates to its own software every time you visit the CyberMedia ActiveHelp Server.
Note
If you think of the World Wide Web as a library of information, the ActiveHelp database is a card catalog listing manufacturers’ Web addresses and information about available updates. Oil Change consults the card catalog, then provides you with a list of available updates.
