Update
First Aid 97 Deluxe
The update file available from this page is intended only for First Aid 97.
The update will not work unless First Aid 97 is installed on your
PC.
- Create a new temporary folder in which to store the update.
1. In My Computer or Windows Explorer, open your hard drive.
2. On the File menu, point to New, then click Folder.
3. Type Fa97temp and press ENTER.
- Download the update file to the temporary folder.
At a modem speed of 14,400 bps, a 2 MB file should take no longer than 30 minutes to
transfer from the CyberMedia Web site to your PC. If the transfer takes substantially longer,
the file may have been corrupted. If the update process doesn't work, download the file again.
You can get help by describing your problem to customer service by email or by phone: (310) 581-4710.
- Close all open programs, except Windows Explorer.
- Temporarily disable any programs that start automatically.
Typically programs, such as anti-virus software, install/uninstall monitors, or schedulers load
part of their program when you start Windows. If the manufacturer didn't provide instructions
for disabling the program, do the following:
1. Press CTL+ALT+DELETE to display the Close Program window.
2. Click the program name to select it.
3. Click End Task.
- In Windows Explorer, double-click the downloaded file.
The update process is performed automatically. When complete, you can view the version
number by starting First Aid 97 and double-clicking the cross icon in the upper-right corner of
the window.
- Delete the temporary folder and its files.
- Restart your computer to reload any programs you disabled during
installation.
