CyberMedia's First Aid 95 is the #2 Best-Selling Windows 95 Business Productivity Application
Outsells Microsoft Plus Pack™ and Netscape Navigator™

SANTA MONICA, Calif. - May 31, 1996 - First Aid 95 ™, the self-help Technical support software package from CyberMedia, is now the #2 best-selling Windows ® 95 business productivity software product, according to the March, 1996 PC Data report. In March, the only Windows 95 application that outsold First Aid in the business productivity category was the Microsoft Windows 95 operating system itself.

Since introduction in September, 1994, CyberMedia has sold more than 1,000,000 copies of First Aid to more than 4,000 stores worldwide. Recently CyberMedia shipped First Aid 95 Deluxe, an Internet-enhanced version, and announced Oil Change, a new technology that automatically updates all the software on a personal computer over the Internet.

"First Aid 95's ease of use has made computing much more enjoyable and no longer a chore," said Karl H. Moreland, Marketing Manager Education and Government Sales for MicroAge Computer Center, a leading personal computer retail chain. "I strongly recommend First Aid 95 to all Windows users."

"First Aid's rapid sales prove there is a significant demand for self-help software that automatically fixes personal computer problems," says CyberMedia president and CEO Unni Warrier. "Users are crying for this kind of help. We are leading the industry in creating an entirely new category of software - instant technical support software that makes personal computers easier and less frustrating to use."" Traditional software "utilities" are software programs designed for 'techies' and experts. These programs diagnose computer problems and improve the performance or reliability of the operating system - but they have traditionally been quite intimidating for most PC users," Warrier explains. "Self-help software goes way beyond this. CyberMedia's products do the grunt work for you, so they can be used by anybody with a PC."

CyberMedia develops and markets self-help products and services that automatically prevent and fix the most common software and hardware problems. Founded in 1991, CyberMedia is privately held with company headquarters at: 3000 Ocean Park Boulevard, Suite 2001, Santa Monica, Calif. Phone: 310/581-4700.
